Hearing screenings are completed on all students entering the school district for the first time and when entering K, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 11th grades.
Vision screenings including near vision and distance acuity are completed on students entering the district for the first time and when entering K, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 11th grades. Students entering the school district for the first time are also screened for color perception.
Scoliosis screening is completed on female students entering 5th and 7th grades while male students are screened when entering 9th grade.
A letter will be sent home and parents/guardians will be notified if there are findings on the screenings completed at school causing concern or requiring medical follow-up.
